Followed by hundreds of readers of European and North American hardcore comic publications and fringe-magazines "Lean mean drawing machine" Chris Crielaard is Impossible to label. Born in 1971 in Southern Limburg. Chris drew his first images of transgressive sex and death at the age of six. When at Catholic catechism, he used to trace out lil' devils for the other kids. Fascinated by the writings of Charles Baudelaire and De Sade, he studied Occultism of his own. Mixing it with his other passions: Samurai culture, Freemasonry, Beethoven, A Clockwork Orange, Caligula, cold steel knives, crossbow archery and the high adventure, the great outdoors. Other sources include the Italian comics by Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri and the fetish works by HR Giger and Gregory Dark.
